Miami and Texas A&M will be the focus of Saturday’s three-game College Football Playoff slate. The meeting between the No. 7 Aggies and the No. 10 Hurricanes projects to be an incredibly tight-knit matchup. There are also 2026 NFL Draft implications with double-digit intriguing prospects participating.
We've identified and analyzed the 10 most notable draft-eligible prospects in Saturday's Texas A&M-Miami CFP showdown.
Reuben Bain Jr., EDGE, Miami
Scouting grades are all over the map on Miami defensive lineman Rueben Bain Jr. He was a once-promising potential top-five pick, but an injury cooled his second-half productivity. Pairing that with arm length and positional questions has Bain sliding down draft boards. The strong, powerful pass rusher will look to make scouts second-guess their doubts during the CFP.
KC Concepcion, WR, Texas A&M
Texas A&M wide receiver KC Concepcion simply generates chunk plays. He's totaled 12 touchdowns as a receiver, runner, and returner this season. Concepcion is a dynamic and speedy route-runner who routinely separates from man coverage despite size and strength questions (5-11, 200). He's trending toward being a first-round pick.
Francis Mauigoa, OL, Miami
Francis Mauigoa is arguably the cleanest offensive lineman prospect in the class. He's started 38 contests at right tackle over the previous three college football campaigns and has surrendered just one sack across 2024-25. Some may view Mauigoa as a candidate to kick inside to guard, but he's plug-and-play regardless of his pro-level position.
Cashius Howell, EDGE, Texas A&M
Aggies EDGE Cashius Howell posted an SEC-high 11.5 sacks this season. The former Bowling Green transfer struggled against Texas offensive tackle Trevor Goosby in the regular-season finale, a performance fresh in the minds of scouts. Evaluators have questions about Howell's short arms and his ability to defend the run on early downs at the next level. A bounce-back in the CFP would help.
Le’Veon Moss, RB, Texas A&M
Le'Veon Moss missed the final six games of the season with an ankle injury, but recently returned to practice ahead of A&M’s first-ever appearance in the CFP. Before suffering the six-week setback, Moss rushed for 389 yards and six touchdowns on 70 carries. His availability would be a big boost for A&M's offense.
Carson Beck, QB, Miami
Carson Beck has gone through the Miami school of quarterbacks this season. At times, it looked good with Beck throwing for 3,072 yards, 25 touchdowns, and 10 interceptions. The former Georgia quarterback struggles in muddied pockets, so keeping him clean is critical to his form on Saturday. He currently has day-two grades from NFL scouts.
Will Lee III, CB, Texas A&M
Texas A&M cornerback Will Lee III is a hard-nosed defender who prefers a rugged approach in coverage. Since transferring to College Station from Kansas State in 2024, Lee has intercepted two passes and broken up 17 more. Size, instincts, and toughness jump off the screen.
Dametrious Crownover, OT, Texas A&M
Offensive tackle Dametrious Crownover recently accepted his invite to this year's Senior Bowl. The former tight end convert should measure in at 6-foot-6 and roughly 335 pounds with 35.5-inch arms and an 85.5-inch wingspan. Crownover is trending toward top-100 selection territory.
Trey Zuhn & Chase Bisontis, IOL, Texas A&M
Crowover isn't the only draftable talent on A&M's offensive line. Left tackle Trey Zuhn will move to guard in the NFL. Texas A&M's more natural guard prospect is Chase Bisontis, who consistently wins the leverage battle and sustains blocks in the run game.
