South Alabama wide receiver Jamaal Pritchett was a workhouse. Pritchett enters the 2025 NFL Draft having recorded 91 receptions for 1,127 receiving yards and nine touchdowns this past season. He also enjoyed positive performances at the Senior Bowl and NFL Combine.

Pritchett recently spoke exclusively with The Draft Network. Pritchett discussed his incredible 2024 campaign, his experiences in Mobile and Indianapolis, which teams are showing interest in his services, and more.

JM: You were a late addition to this year's Senior Bowl. What do you feel like you proved to GMs and scouts in attendance?

Jamaal Pritchett: I proved I can compete with any prospect in the nation, regardless of level of competition. Power Four, Group of 5, it doesn't matter. I just go out there and compete with the best of the best.

JM: After struggling with playing time in 2022 as a walk-on, you exploded in 2023 and 2024, totaling 148 catches for 2,009 receiving yards and 17 TDs. What changed for you that led to back-to-back incredible seasons?

Jamaal Pritchett: I had to work my way up the depth chart as a walk-on. I only saw the field a little bit in 2022. I sat on the sideline and soaked up knowledge from the older guys.

I used that knowledge to put it all together for my final two seasons. That's what really helped me get ready to play a bigger role. I kept my head down and went to work.

JM: Did your mentality change? You fought through that adversity and didn't let it bother you. You kept your head down and went to work, like you said. You exploded in 2023 and 2024.

Jamaal Pritchett: I wouldn't say much changed in my mentality at all. My mentality has always been to be the best I can be. I've been consistent with that. It was just about proving to my coaches and teammates that I deserved to be on the field.

I proved I could make plays and contribute for the team.

JM: You definitely did that. Does Jamaal Pritchett have a favorite route to run?

Jamaal Pritchett: I don't really have a favorite route. If I had to pick one, I'd probably say a slot fade, something like that. Something deep.

JM: You're considered undersized by NFL standards at 5-foot-8 and 170 pounds. How are you handling the size question when scouts ask? It didn't stop you from being productive.

Jamaal Pritchett: That's exactly how I answer it. I tell them to cut on the film. You can see the numbers I put up. I was extremely productive. Size doesn't mean anything to me.

Like I said, I can go out there and compete with anybody. I can make plays against anyone. It doesn't bother me at all. I just have to let them know I'm a dog. I can make plays against anyone.

JM: You've done that! You returned a career-high 12 punts this past season and scored a touchdown. Do teams see you playing special teams at the next level?

Jamaal Pritchett: For sure they have. And I know that sometimes your best chance to stick around is to play special teams. That may be a big role I have to play. I'm willing to do whatever it takes.

JM: Have you met with any teams throughout this process, and do you have any more coming up?

Jamaal Pritchett: I met with all 32 teams at the Senior Bowl. I have a few Zoom meetings coming up. I'm meeting with the Tennessee Titans virtually. I had great meetings with the Titans, Dallas Cowboys, Las Vegas Raiders, Buffalo Bills in Mobile.

JM: There's a lot of interest in you and it's easy to see why. We've appreciated your time today. Why should a team use one of their draft picks on Jamaal Pritchett?

Jamaal Pritchett: I'm a dog. I'm going to come in and change the atmosphere of our program. I'm going to contribute. I'm a great guy with great football character. I don't have any negative energy.

I'm going to come in and be the same consistent guy every single day. I'm going to bring out the best in everyone. I want to help the team win.
