The 2026 Panini Senior Bowl will provide an opportunity for NFL draft prospects to showcase themselves on the largest pre-draft stage. LSU wide receiver Aaron Anderson plans on taking full advantage. Anderson recently spoke exclusively with the Senior Bowl and Draft Network to discuss his motivation for accepting his invitation to compete in Mobile, Alabama.

Anderson also discussed what he's striving to prove to NFL general managers and scouts in attendance at the Senior Bowl, his dynamic ability at wide receiver, how he’d write his own scouting report, and more. Let's get to know Anderson better ahead of his journey to the Panini Senior Bowl.

JM: Where were you when you found out about your Senior Bowl invite, and what was your initial reaction?

Aaron Anderson: I was in Tampa Bay training for the pre-draft process. I was very excited when I received my invite. I had been doing my own research on the Senior Bowl. I was very blessed and thankful to receive multiple all-star invites, but I was waiting on the Senior Bowl. When I got that phone call for the Senior Bowl invite, I was beyond excited.

JM: That sounds like a special moment. What motivated you to accept the Senior Bowl’s offer?

Aaron Anderson: I was really motivated by the competition. That’s what motivated me. I love the game of football. I know the competition is going to be high in Mobile. The stakes are high. I’m ready to get to it. I want to show the world what I can do.

JM: What are you hoping to prove to NFL general managers, coaching staffs, and scouts in attendance in Mobile?

Aaron Anderson: I want to prove that heart measures bigger than height. I know there’s a lot of discussion out there about my height. I’ve never let that interfere with achieving my dreams. My heart matters more. My height doesn’t prevent me from getting the job done.

JM: We love to hear that. Building on that, how would you write your own scouting report? Self-scout yourself for us.

Aaron Anderson: I’m a dynamic wide receiver. I’m twitchy and fast. I’m very explosive with the ball in my hands. I’m definitely quick. I know how to uncover. I’m very capable of getting open. I’m definitely very dynamic.

JM: This was a difficult season for you from an injury perspective. You had 884 receiving yards when you were fully healthy in 2024. How are you feeling heading into Mobile?

Aaron Anderson: I actually feel great right now. I would say I’m healthier right now than I’ve ever been. I feel really good about this pre-draft process. I’m excited. I’m going to the Senior Bowl to put those shoulder pads and helmet on again. I’m ready to compete.

JM: Does Aaron Anderson have a favorite route to run?

Aaron Anderson: I really don’t. I’m a hard worker. I don’t have a favorite route. I like running every route in the playbook.

JM: We love that. If you had to compare yourself to a current NFL wide receiver, who would you choose and why? Anyone in particular you try to study and learn from?

Aaron Anderson: I would probably go with Tyreek Hill. I’ve been studying and watching him for a long time. His height is obviously very similar to mine. I like watching a lot of wide receivers who are the same height as me. We all have very similar skill sets.

Tyreek Hill is my favorite player.

JM: We love that. At the end of the week, what does a successful Senior Bowl look like for Aaron Anderson?

Aaron Anderson: I haven’t received my invite to the NFL Combine yet. I want to prove to everyone that I belong. I want them folks at the NFL Combine to see what I did at the Senior Bowl and realize that I deserve an invite.
