Armand Membou's 3 Best NFL Draft Fits

Missouri offensive tackle Armand Membou has arguably established himself as the best player at his position in the 2025 NFL Draft. Membou was terrific for the Tigers this past season, displaying high-level abilities as both a pass protector and run blocker. He then went to the NFL Combine and proved he's an elite athlete.

The No. 10 overall prospect in our latest Draft Network 100 update, Membou ran a tackle-best 4.91-second 40-yard dash at 6-foot-4 and 332 pounds. Membou also leaped a 34-inch vertical and chart-topping 9-foot-7 broad jump. Few players enjoyed better overall performances at Lucas Oil Stadium.

Membou is a potential top-10 selection. We've identified three ideal fits for his services in the 2025 NFL Draft.

New England Patriots

The New England Patriots have a clear-cut offseason goal in mind. To surround franchise quarterback Drake Maye with as much talent as possible to accelerate his development. The Patriots have been big spenders in free agency. On the offensive line, they've signed center Garrett Bradbury and veteran right tackle Morgan Moses to improve the protection in front of Maye.

Left tackle will almost certainly be addressed via the draft—Mike Vrabel won't go into the season with Vederian Lowe or Caedan Wallace at left tackle. The Patriots own the No. 4 overall selection and should possess the opportunity to draft the first offensive tackle. They've been linked to LSU blocker Will Campbell, but his lackluster measurements scream guard. Membou has had a more impressive pre-draft process. The Patriots need wide receivers too, but Maye's blind side could take priority.

San Francisco 49ers

The San Francisco 49ers have undergone some notable changes across the offensive line this offseason. Left guard Aaron Banks signed a lucrative contract with the Green Bay Packers in free agency. Another position that could experience change is at right tackle.

Colton McKivitz was a league-average blocker last year. McKivitz was whistled for six penalties and allowed 36 total quarterback pressures. Membou would represent a fairly significant upgrade. Membou is an outstanding athlete, making him a natural fit for Kyle Shanahan's zone-based offense, clearing rushing lanes for Christian McCaffrey. He could even start by playing right tackle, eventually replacing Trent Williams as the blindside protector once the future Hall of Famer hangs his cleats up.

New Orleans Saints

New Orleans Saints general manager Mickey Loomis began reshaping his offensive line last offseason. Loomis drafted Oregon State right tackle Taliese Fuaga at 14th overall and slid him to the left side. This year, they could draft Membou and insert him at right tackle, finally finding their long-term solution for the oft-injured Ryan Ramczyk.

Former first-round disappointment Trevor Penning is currently the right tackle. Penning is entering a contract year after allowing five sacks and 54 pressures last season. His fifth-year option has been declined and it's difficult to see a future for him in New Orleans beyond 2025. New offensive-minded head coach Kellen Moore would have his 10-year bookends at tackle by drafting Membou and pairing him with Fuaga. Protecting Derek Carr is a priority after he suffered an injury last season.
