Good tackle play has remained synonymous with the best offenses in football. Either at left tackle, right tackle, or both spots, the ability to keep a signal-caller upright remains of the utmost importance for teams across the NFL. While the 2025 crop of talent fails to compare to last year’s elite group that saw seven tackles go on night one, there are some names to become familiar with as the pre-draft process kicks into gear.

A riser in the Big 12 with experience at both tackle spots in his collegiate career, Wyatt Milum has become a popular name in the offensive line class. As his high level of play continues and his name continues to arise in conversations with scouts, here are a few teams that could call Milum’s name when we get to April.

Las Vegas Raiders

Las Vegas just needs more ballplayers. There are holes at quarterback, wideout, and on defense that have to be addressed, but Milum would be a piece for both the now and the future for an offense that is expected to enjoy an overhaul in the next two offseasons or so. There are more questions than answers right now for Las Vegas, but solidifying the tackle spot would do wonders for the offense long-term by building from the inside out.

New England Patriots

Drake Maye is the future so adding bodies to his protection detail should remain of the utmost importance for New England brass. Whether the Patriots envision Milum as Maye’s blindside or arm side protectant will come down the line, but Milum’s versatility presents a wide range of possibilities for him to compete and produce up front. Away from his ability in pass pro, Milum also has experience operating in zone and gap-based run schemes during his time in Morgantown.

New Orleans Saints

The team drafted Taliese Fuaga to be the future at right tackle, but the lack of success and improvement from former first-rounder Trevor Penning has thrown a wrench in plans up front for the Saints. The addition of Milum would not only allow Fuaga to slide back to his natural spot at right tackle but would also form one of the NFL’s most exciting young tackle tandems for whoever is the long-term piece under center in New Orleans.
