Ole Miss wide receiver Tre Harris was downright dominant in Saturday's 52-13 blowout victory over Georgia Southern. Harris recorded 11 receptions for 225 receiving yards and two touchdowns. His early-season performances have him rising up 2025 NFL Draft boards.

Harris didn't necessarily enter the 2024 season as the Ole Miss receiver with the most pre-draft buzz. That honor belonged to Antwane Wells Jr, the No. 47 overall prospect in our latest Draft Network Top 100 rankings.

Though Wells Jr. has occasionally been productive, Harris leads the Rebels in receptions (38) and receiving yards (628) by a large margin, and he’s tied for the team lead in receiving touchdowns with four.

Harris ranks second in the entire nation in receiving yards. He leads the SEC in that category by a ridiculous 280 yards. He's been Jaxson Dart’s go-to target. It’s the continuation of what Harris achieved last season when he posted team-highs in receiving yards (985) and touchdowns (8). He’s on track to surpass those numbers this year easily.

Harris' first end-zone visit against Georgia Southern was an explosive 70-yard score. The big-bodied Harris simply outpaced the boundary defender up the left sideline. The 6-foot-2, 210-pound playmaker is a handful in single coverage once he opens up his stride.

Harris' second touchdown showcased his physical dominance. After scanning through his progressions, Dart identified Harris streaking down the middle of the field behind two secondary defenders. Dart flipped the ball over them and Harris made a straightforward leaping grab.

It was undeniably Harris' best showing of the new campaign, but it was also an appropriate follow-up to his first three performances. The Lafayette, Louisiana native torched Furman for eight catches, 179 yards, and two touchdowns in the regular-season opener. Harris followed that up with nine receptions and 130 yards in a blowout victory over Middle Tennessee State. The playmaker recorded a 10-for-94 stat line versus Wake Forest in Week 3.

Harris possesses what NFL scouts consider to be prototypical "X" receiver tendencies at the next level. A short, intermediate, and deep threat, Harris takes full advantage of his physical frame to box out defenders and dominate them at the catch point. Length and a massive catch radius allow him to routinely high-point the football in contested catch situations.

Harris has scored four touchdowns in four appearances this season. In 2023, he began the campaign, his first at Ole Miss after transferring from Louisiana Tech, with six touchdowns in Ole Miss' opening three matchups. Size makes Harris a consistent red-zone threat.

Harris should continue increasing his pre-draft stock all season long. The 4-0 Rebels haven't played a legitimate opponent yet, but they're about to embark on a difficult stretch. Ole Miss' next four games are against Kentucky, South Carolina, LSU, and Oklahoma. If Harris torches those opponents, NFL decision-makers will be more inclined to buy into his current form.

Harris should receive post-season opportunities to continue improving his pre-draft reputation. The towering wideout is a fifth-year senior and currently appears on Jim Nagy's Senior Bowl watchlist. It's easy to forecast him receiving an opportunity to compete in Mobile. Harris is a dominant prospect that is currently demanding your attention.
