NFL Mock Draft 2025: QB Class Rising

author image

The 2024-25 NFL season is officially here, which means we are one step closer to figuring out who the pretenders and contenders are. For those teams who not have started how they wanted to in the win column, there is still a long season ahead—but it's never too early to start to peek ahead and see which NFL draft prospects are potentially available if your team doesn't reach the ultimate goal. Only one team can win the Super Bowl and the other 31 teams will be on a search to get better.

Please note that the draft order is set using the reverse order of Super Bowl betting odds. Click on each player's name to read their full scouting report.

2025 NFL Mock Draft

1. New York Giants

Carson Beck, QB, Georgia

The expectation is that the New York Giants will have one of the worst offenses in the NFL and the Giants will finally turn the page from the Daniel Jones era. If that's the case, I'm expecting them to draft a quarterback. If the draft was right now, the best case would be for the Giants to take Carson Beck. Beck enters the Giants organization with a trio of young receivers to throw the football to, which should make his transition into the NFL easier. Beck is an accurate quarterback who is mobile enough to throw on the run and extend plays.

2. Carolina Panthers

Mykel Williams, EDGE, Georgia

The Panthers spent a great deal of their assets improving this offense to support Bryce Young, which was much needed. With the hope that Bryce Young takes steps forward with this supporting cast (it didn't happen in Week 1), the next step would be to rebuild this defense. In the offseason, they traded away their premier edge rusher Brian Burns to the Giants, so with this pick, they attempt to replace him by drafting Georgia edge rusher Mykel Williams. Williams is a player who has tremendous upside with athleticism and all of the physical measurables to be a dominant edge rusher in the NFL.

3. New England Patriots

Will Campbell, OT, LSU

The Patriots draft a premier LT to protect Drake Maye here. Maye had some high-level moments in the preseason and if they can put a good supporting cast of receivers and linemen with him, the Patriots may have their quarterback for the next 15 years.

4. Denver Broncos

Tetairoa McMillan, WR, Arizona

The Broncos need a true No. 1 wide receiver to pair with Bo Nix if they expect the Nix experiment with Sean Payton to work. Tetairoa McMillan is a big-bodied receiver who dominates at the catch point but can also win down the field on vertical routes. This should play well as Nix has someone to target down the field with 50/50 balls that can turn into high-level completions. Nix will have a WR trio of Marvin Mims Jr., Troy Franklin, and McMillan to work with.

5. Tennessee Titans

Abdul Carter, EDGE, Penn State

The Titans loaded up on the offensive side of the football with free agent signings and through the draft to help give Will Levis the best opportunity to succeed in the NFL. Now it's time to flip sides of the football and improve the defense. Over the past couple of years, the Titans have lost some key veterans. While Jeffery Simmons is still the dominant piece in the middle, he needs help. Abdul Carter is a versatile second-level defender who can play true stacked linebacker but also has the opportunity to be the best edge rusher in this class. Just think if Micah Parsons played for Tennessee.

6. Washington Commanders

Will Johnson, CB, Michigan

The Commanders are still taking steps in the direction of revamping this entire team. In the 2024 draft, they went with LSU QB Jayden Daniels to be the offensive leader and playmaker for this team. Now for the 2025 draft, the expectation would be for them to find that key piece defensively. With this pick, I believe they draft the current consensus No. 1 corner in the draft, Will Johnson. Johnson is an elite cover corner who is scheme versatile and has the potential to eliminate one side of the field for Dan Quinn's defense.

7. New Orleans Saints

Quinn Ewers, QB, Texas

At this point, the Saints' quarterback situation is one of the most complex in the NFL. With uncertainty about Derek Carr as the long-term starter and positive reviews about rookie Spencer Rattler, the Saints could go in several different directions. However, picking this high, they should take advantage and draft a QB like Quinn Ewers. Ewers is a high-IQ player, and although some may consider him slightly undersized, the Saints organization should be confident in that profile, considering they have seen it before with Drew Brees.

8. Las Vegas Raiders

Shedeur Sanders, QB, Colorado

The old saying is if you have two quarterbacks, you have none. That is never truer than in the Raiders situation. The Raiders let Gardner Minshew and Aidan O Connell battle it out in the preseason and instead of someone winning the job, it seems that they just had to give it to someone. So with that being the case, the Raiders draft QB Shedeur Sanders in a true Raiders fashion. For all of what's said about Sanders, he is a gifted quarterback who embraces challenges and is mentally and physically tough. That's exactly what the Raiders need at the QB position.

9. Arizona Cardinals

Travis Hunter, CB/WR, Colorado

I'm putting my vote in now for Travis Hunter playing wide receiver in the NFL. And with this pick, the Cardinals draft him to do so. Pairing Hunter with Marvin Harrison Jr. would instantly give the Cardinals one of the best one-two punches in the entire NFL at the wide receiver position. And yes, I would still let Hunter play corner from time to time.

10. Minnesota Vikings

Mason Graham, IDL, Michigan

The Vikings have needed interior defense line help for many years now. Although they have tried to address the position, it just hasn't seemed to work. With this pick, they have another swing at it and draft Mason Graham. Graham can make a case for being the best player in the entire draft, showcasing to be dominant in both the run game and as a pass rusher. If the Vikings take Graham here, they will finally have their dominant interior defensive lineman to build the rest of the defense around.

11. Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Malaki Starks, SAF, Georgia

The Buccaneers have done a solid job of transitioning from their brief Tom Brady era into the Baker Mayfield era. Last year, they drafted and addressed the offensive side of the football, giving Mayfield younger receiver options and boosting the offensive line. So with this pick, I believe they go defense and draft Malaki Starks. Yes, they already have all-pro Antoine Whitfield Jr., but Starks' talent is too high to pass up on. What's better than one all-pro safety? Two potential all-pro safeties.

12. Indianapolis Colts

Colston Loveland, TE, Michigan

The Colts have done a great job of surrounding Anthony Richardson with skill players to throw the football to. The only position that they need to address is the tight end position. With this pick, they go with Michigan TE Colston Loveland, a tight end who has great physical traits and the ability to dominate games by himself. With Colston's addition, Richardson may have the best group of skill players to throw the football to and the Colts have done their job of surrounding their young quarterback with great pieces to be successful.

13. Seattle Seahawks

Miller Moss, QB, USC

The Seahawks found a good transitional piece with Geno Smith, but the truth is, he is in the back half of his career. The Seahawks have done a good job drafting and have talented young pieces on both sides of the football. So with this pick, they draft Miller Moss, a quarterback who can grow with those young pieces and make the Seahawks a key factor in the NFC for the next 10 years.

14. Pittsburgh Steelers

Luther Burden III, WR, Missouri

The Steelers' quarterback situation has stolen the headlines the entire offseason, but the one position that I believe needs to be highlighted is the receiver position. Yes, the Steelers have talent, but is it to the standard that the Steelers usually have? With this pick, they draft Luther Burden III, a slot-dominant player who can move to a different alignment and should be a great complementary piece to George Pickens and a healthy Roman Wilson.

15. Jacksonville Jaguars

The Jaguars have gotten mixed performances year over year out of franchise quarterback Trevor Lawrence. And one thing that I believe can stabilize that is a consistently good offensive line. Emery Jones Jr. can play both the tackle and guard position, giving the Jaguars a plug-and-play player at a weakness that they have along the offensive line.

16. Los Angeles Chargers

Walter Nolen, IDL, Ole Miss

A player with dominant traits that I believe no one is talking about enough is Walter Nolen. With Jim Harbaugh in town, we know that he is going to want to run the football and stop the run. Nolen is an interior defensive lineman who can hold the point of attack and pays with a mean streak. Placing Nolen in the center of this defense will change the unit, as he will be able to serve as the anchor for a good run defense for many years to come.

17. Cleveland Browns

Nic Scourton, EDGE, Texas A&M

The Browns without a doubt have one of the most talented defenses in all of football and they have been trying to find a running mate to pair with All-Pro Myles Garrett for some time now. I think they finally found their guy by drafting edge rusher Nic Scourton. Scourton is a unique piece because while he can create pressure as a 280-pound edge player, he can also move inside and rush from an interior position, making this defensive front more versatile and even more difficult to stop.

18. Chicago Bears

Quinshon Judkins, RB, Ohio State

The Bears are into a new Caleb Williams era where it appears that they have skilled position players to throw the football to. But we know once playoffs come around true contenders have to run the football. So with this pick, they add yet another piece to this offense and that's running back Quinshon Judkins. Judkins is a physical back with elusiveness. He would add a dynamic element to this offense to make it balanced and make it even more difficult for defenses to game plan for.

19. Los Angeles Rams

Jalon Walker, LB, Georgia

The Rams have done a great job rebuilding their post-Super Bowl win by simply drafting good football players with high motors. With this pick, they get right back to this thought process with one of my favorite players in the draft, Jalon Walker. Walker is going to pair great with this young defensive front and is going to add an element of versatility as he can play as a stacked linebacker and also as an edge rusher providing great pressure.

20. Miami Dolphins

Kenneth Grant, IDL, Michigan

The Dolphins have as much speed as any team in the NFL, but they need to start building their teams to run the football and to stop the run to have a deep playoff push. In the offseason, they lost Christian Wilkins to the Raiders, which is a big void. So with this pick, they draft IDL Kenneth Grant from Michigan. Grant can stop the run and serve as an anchor for a run defense that needs to improve.

21. Atlanta Falcons

James Pearce Jr., EDGE, Tennessee

I think everyone in the NFL community is still shocked by the Falcons taking Michael Penix Jr. in the first round when they needed an edge rusher. With this first-round pick, they finally decide to take an edge rusher and they draft James Pearce Jr.. Pearce is a player with all of the physical measures and athleticism needed for the position. Pearce can immediately step in an be a dynamic edge rusher for the Falcons, something they've needed for quite a few years.

22. New York Jets

Cam Ward, QB, Miami

J-E-T-S Jets Jets Jets. Let's be honest, the entire Jets fan base is all-in on this year, but somebody has to worry about the future. We all know Aaron Rodgers' time is limited, so they have to find a quarterback of the future. Here they draft Cam Ward, a playmaker at the quarterback position who can create and make spectacular throws similar to Patrick Mahomes.

23. Green Bay Packers

Kelvin Banks Jr., OT, Texas

The Packers have been chipping away at rebuilding this offense line and finding the right combination to be a dominant unit. They drafted Jordan Morgan last draft and with this pick, I think they go back to the offensive line and draft Kelvin Banks Jr. Banks Jr. also has the athletic profile to be versatile and can fill almost any void along the offensive line.

24. Buffalo Bills

Benjamin Morrison, CB, Notre Dame

The Bills' secondary has taken a hit over the past few years, losing some key players to free agency and trade. In the AFC with elite quarterbacks and passing attacks throughout the conference, it's important to have secondary defenders that can cover. With this pick, they draft Benjamin Morrison, a CB who can play man-to-man and is scrappy with Buffalo toughness in the secondary.

25. Dallas Cowboys

Omarion Hampton, RB, North Carolina

The Cowboys have finally paid CeeDee Lamb and Dak Prescott but there is still work to be done to get this offensive unit back to what it used to be. The Cowboys take the next step in that direction by drafting RB Omarion Hampton, a 6-foot, 220-pound back who can do it all, would be a good piece to draft to run behind this newly revamped offensive line and get the Cowboys back to dominantly running the football.

26. Cincinnati Bengals

Ashton Jeanty, RB, Boise State

After losing Joe Mixon, the Bengals have to find an explosive replacement and Ashton Jeanty is that guy. With Joe Burrow being the elite QB, placing a player like Jeanty in the backfield would give defenses nightmares on who to try and stop.

27. Houston Texans

Kevin Winston Jr., SAF, Penn State

The Texans have quickly turned this franchise around through the draft with young, talented players. Kevin Winston Jr. is a versatile movement player who gives head coach DeMeco Ryans yet another secondary defender to scheme up to confuse offenses.

28. Philadelphia Eagles

Tate Ratledge, IOL, Georgia

After one week, the Eagles look like the Eagles from the 2022 season with all of the skill position players operating at an elite level. If there was one position that sill needed to be addressed in this offense it would be OL. The Eagles have manufactured a solid starting unit but it should be better, so with this pick, they draft Georgia IOL Tate Ratledge, a physical mauler who can play either guard position for the Eagles.

29. Detroit Lions

Donovan Jackson, IOL, Ohio State

The Lions' identity is to run the football and impose their will on people. So with this pick, they keep with the same theme and draft IOL from Ohio State, Donovan Jackson. Jackson is a talented player who will fill the void for this Lions' O-line unit if they lose guys to free agency or retirement.

30. Baltimore Ravens

Emeka Egbuka, WR, Ohio State

It seems like we say this every year, but the Ravens need receiver help. If the extent of Zay Flowers being their No. 1 receiver is screens and motions, then I don't think that's going to cut it. They need a player who can win one-on-ones all over the field with a big frame. Emeka Egbuka is an experienced receiver who can do exactly that. Insert Egbuka into the mix and the Ravens are taking steps in the right direction to having a well-rounded receiving corps.

31. San Francisco 49ers

Denzel Burke, CB, Ohio State

The 49ers address a position of need and draft CB Denzel Burkee. Burke is a scheme-versatile corner who can play lock-down football. The 49ers have to continue to draft well and revamp this team to extend this window of attempting to win a Super Bowl.

32. Kansas City Chiefs

Ollie Gordon II, RB, Oklahoma State

The Chiefs added explosive playmakers all over the field last offseason with Hollywood Brown and Xavier Worthy, which paid off big time in their win over the Ravens. But Andy Reid is smart enough to know balance will win him more Super Bowls. So with that being the case, the Chiefs draft RB Ollie Gordon II, a big-bodied back who can run in between the tackles to get tough yardage and also bounce outside for big gains. Having a big physical presence like that in the backfield to pair with Isiah Pacheco would be fun to watch.
