Easton Kilty is a fluid-moving offensive lineman whose ability to transfer his success from the lower levels of CFB to the Big 12 will expand his draft profile. He aligned primarily at left tackle in 2023 but has accrued live snaps at every spot but center in his career.
As a run blocker, Kilty lives best on a vertical plane where he can launch his frame into the bodies of opponents. Showcases active feet at the snap to work to and through opponents and quick hands to establish leverage with excellent grip strength to stay neutral. Not an overpowering man mover but has an intriguing footwork/strength profile that projects well down the road.
Kilty is at his best in pass pro where his footwork showcases well (four sacks allowed in 1,286 career pass pro snaps). Can slide and shuffle with varying body types. Kilty is rarely jolted back by opponents and has shown the ability to stymie rushers from full speed at depth. Clean technique for the most part but has run into issues against pass rushers that play with good power (Boise State). Powerful anchor when his cleats are screwed into the dirt.
While not yet a concern, questions remain about Kilty’s ability to transfer his success from North Dakota to the Big 12 this fall. Overall athleticism and movement skills are present, and succeeding against higher-level athletes will go a long way in finalizing his evaluation. Versatility is apparent but finding his niche at the next level will remain important for teams in finalizing his profile.
Overall, Kilty is an athletic, well-framed, and versatile prospect. While a move to guard could come at the next level, his overall versatility will hold weight for prospective organizations in search of depth.
