Film Analysis:

West Virginia's Zach Frazier has been a stalwart along the interior of the Mountaineers' offensive line since the moment he stepped foot on campus. He started as a true freshman at left guard before transitioning inside to center for his sophomore and junior seasons.

Frazier is a densely built center with a good center of gravity. He is a former wrestler and it certainly shows in his game. Frazier is an excellent run blocker who comes off the ball fast and with his pads low to quickly gain leverage on defenders. He has excellent hand use to win the inside chest plate and has outstanding grip strength to control and steer his defender. Once Frazier is connected to defenders, the rep is usually over. Frazier displays good power at the point of attack and can generate movement off the ball. Frazier is just an average athlete and struggles to connect on moving targets when working to the second level and in space. He lacks range laterally and is better suited in a gap power scheme than a zone scheme that would ask him to work sideline to sideline.

In the passing game, Frazier displays excellent intelligence and awareness. He quickly can key and diagnose stunts and games and seamlessly pass them over. His low center of gravity allows him to anchor against most bullrushes, but his lack of arm length will allow longer defenders to win his chest and drive him back. Additionally, his lack of quickness will leave his edges exposed at times when facing quick interior disruptors.

Overall, Frazier has starter-level traits at the center position but his ceiling is likely capped as a reliable starter as he lacks the high-end athleticism and length to be at the top of his position.
